Biography

Ivair dos Reis Gonçalves, widely known as Renner or Renner Reis, was born in Patos de Minas or Brasília on November 19, 1971. The singer began his artistic journey singing rock in his adolescence, before establishing himself as one of the major names in Brazilian sertanejo music by forming the duo Rick & Renner alongside singer Rick in 1986. Together, they built a career marked by millions of records sold, extensive tours, and hits that entertained the public for decades, in addition to earning recognition from other exponents of the genre, such as Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano.

After more than twenty years of partnership in the classic lineup, the duo went through interruptions and breakups, a period during which Renner pursued a solo career under the moniker Renner Reis and released works such as the album "Teu Sol". Over the years, the artist also tried out other musical partnerships, such as with Ricardo, and maintained a strong presence in the media, despite controversies and high-profile episodes in his personal life. His contribution to the harmony vocals in sertanejo music is frequently remembered and praised by professionals in the national artistic community.
