Biography

Resgate is a Brazilian Christian rock band formed in 1991. Throughout its career, the band has released several successful albums, establishing itself as one of the most important names in the genre in the country. "Este Lado Para Cima" is the title of the group's ninth studio album, released in 2012 by Sony Music Brasil. The record, which features production by Paulo Anhaia, marked the return of the band's partnership with the producer following the departure of Dudu Borges. Featuring a heavier and raw sound compared to the previous album, "Ainda Não É o Último", "Este Lado Para Cima" is mostly conceptual, addressing the importance of focusing on eternity rather than earthly things. The album received acclaim from specialized critics, with a highlight on the song "Eles Precisam Saber", which criticizes mercenary religious leaders. In 2013, the album was recognized as the 21st best album of the 2010s by the Super Gospel list. The band has collaborated with several artists from the gospel scene, such as Leonardo Gonçalves and Eli Soares.
