Casimiro de Nascimento Martins, widely known as Rey Zulu, was born in São Luís, Maranhão, on June 9, 1947. He is a legendary figure in Brazilian vale tudo and mixed martial arts, particularly recognized for his expertise in the traditional Maranhão fighting style known as Tarracá. Zulu gained notoriety for his challenging demeanor, often calling out fighters from across Brazil and remaining undefeated for an impressive streak of 150 fights during the 1980s.
