Biography

Ricardo Brito is a multifaceted name in the Brazilian arts, with a career spanning poetry, cinema, radio, music production, and composition. Born in Rio de Janeiro on May 20, 1957, his artistic trajectory began to take shape at a young age, encouraged by his mother, Margarida Brito, a pianist and organist, with whom he produced some of his first musical compositions.

Throughout his career, Ricardo Brito has demonstrated remarkable versatility. As a producer, he released the CD "Um canto de poesia" by Ronaldo Mota in 1998, through his record label Brito Produções. His work as a filmmaker is also relevant, having directed the short film "Lucia Coelho – Sempre Navegando", which received the "Best Documentary" award at the "Festival de Cinema Curta Cabo Frio" in 2015. Additionally, he hosted the talk show "Encontros com Ricardo Brito" in 2017, receiving various artists and personalities.

In music, Ricardo Brito has collaborated with a vast array of artists and composers, including Fernando Carvalho, Alceu Maia, João Callado, Gilson Peranzzetta, and Letícia Belúcio. In 2009, he participated in Alberto Rosenblit's CD/DVD "De bem com a vida", with the re-recording of the song "Quero ver você feliz". His work as a composer and lyricist is recognized for its poetic depth and sensitivity, exploring varied themes in his musical partnerships.
