Biography

Ricardo Georges Feghali was born in Belo Horizonte on May 26, 1955. Of Lebanese descent and nephew of the renowned singer Sabah, he began his musical journey in childhood at nine years of age, demonstrating a precocious talent for playing various instruments. Before consolidating his most prominent career, he was part of projects such as the band Los Panchos Villa and the group Os Famks, in addition to recording under the pseudonym Richard Young in the 1970s.

As one of the pillars of the group Roupa Nova, he acts multifunctionally as a keyboardist, acoustic guitarist, electric guitarist, arranger, and vocalist. In addition to his striking work in the Rio de Janeiro-based band, he stood out as a composer of hits recorded by major names in national music, such as Sandy & Júnior and Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano. His versatility also extends to musical production, an activity for which he has been awarded Latin Grammy awards.

Throughout his career, Feghali collaborated with icons of MPB and Brazilian pop music such as Milton Nascimento, Gilberto Gil, and Gal Costa, establishing himself as one of the most respected names in the country's recording industry. Alongside his dedication to Roupa Nova, he continues to actively work in the production of albums for different artists and his own authorial projects.
