Ricardo Palmeira is a highly respected Brazilian guitarist, composer, and music producer with a career spanning several decades. He began his musical journey in the 1980s, honing his skills in various musical institutions in Rio de Janeiro, including ProArte and Uni-Rio, where he studied guitar, classical guitar, music theory, harmony, and composition. His early career saw him performing and recording with prominent artists of the Brazilian rock scene, such as Cazuza, Leo Jaime, and João Penca e Seus Miquinhos Amestrados.

Throughout the 1990s, Palmeira transitioned to a more studio-focused role, contributing his talents to productions for Rede Globo, a major Brazilian television network. He also continued to perform live with artists like Paulo Ricardo and Lobão. The turn of the millennium marked another evolution in his career, as he began working as a recording and mixing engineer, in addition to his ongoing musical endeavors. He also dedicated five years to producing music for Rede Globo's popular shows, including "TV Xuxa," "Amor & Sexo," and "Som Brasil."

Palmeira's extensive discography includes collaborations with numerous iconic Brazilian artists, such as Bebel Gilberto, Paula Toller, and Renato Russo. His work on Cazuza's albums, including "Ideologia" and the live recording "O Tempo Não Pára," is particularly noteworthy.
