Ricardo Rodrigues Parente Silveira is a renowned Brazilian guitarist, acoustic guitarist, composer, arranger, and producer, born in Rio de Janeiro. Throughout his distinguished career, he has collaborated with legendary figures in Brazilian and international music, performing alongside icons such as Elis Regina, Milton Nascimento, Hermeto Pascoal, and Gilberto Gil. His versatility and mastery of the instrument have allowed him to bridge different musical worlds, including a notable stint playing with Herbie Mann in New York.

Silveira launched his solo career with the 1984 album Bom de Tocar, which helped propel his professional journey into the United States market.
