Biography
Roberta Cristina Campos Martins, artistically known as Roberta Campos, was born in Caetanópolis, Minas Gerais, on December 29, 1977. Her journey in music began independently with the release of the album Para Aquelas Perguntas Tortas, in 2008, in which the artist took charge of all stages of composition, recording, and production. National recognition came soon after with the record Varrendo a Lua (2010), driven by the success of the song "De Janeiro a Janeiro", recorded in partnership with Nando Reis, which became a phenomenon on Brazilian telenovela soundtracks.
Throughout her career, Roberta has consolidated her name in the Brazilian popular music (MPB) and national pop scene, releasing acclaimed records such as Todo Caminho É Sorte (2015) — nominated for a Latin Grammy in the Best Brazilian Popular Music Album category — and O Amor Liberta (2021). Her compositions and interpretations have featured major collaborations in Brazilian music, including names like Marcelo Camelo, Marcelo Jeneci, Zélia Duncan, Humberto Gessinger, and Hyldon, in addition to covers of Clube da Esquina classics, such as works by Lô Borges.
With dozens of songs featured on soap opera soundtracks on networks like Rede Globo, Record, and SBT, Roberta has expanded her artistic presence by undertaking national and international tours. In recent projects, such as her shows and releases alongside George Israel, the singer continues to celebrate her versatility and strong connection with the Brazilian public, moving fluidly between MPB, pop, and romantic song.
