Biography

Born on August 22, 1962, in São Paulo, Roberto José Lettieri's life took a significant turn in 1983 when he experienced a profound conversion during a youth encounter. This spiritual awakening led him to dedicate himself to the Church, entering the seminary.

In May 1994, while still a seminarian, Lettieri co-founded the Fraternidade de Aliança Toca de Assis, an organization inspired by the ideals of Saint Francis of Assisi. This fraternity focuses on poverty, obedience, chastity, and gratuity, providing care and support to homeless individuals. He was ordained a priest on December 8, 1996.

Lettieri became widely known for his work with the "Toca de Assis" fraternity and his dedication to the poor. However, his journey in the clergy faced challenges, and in February 2017, a judicial decision led to his dismissal from the clerical state. Despite this, he continues his work and ministry, now presenting himself as "Irmão Roberto" (Brother Roberto), maintaining his commitment to serving the marginalized.
