Biography

Robinson Monteiro was born in Santos, São Paulo, on September 18, 1975. The singer gained massive national notoriety in 2001 when he participated as a contestant on Programa Raul Gil, where he remained in first place in the competition for seventeen consecutive weeks and earned the nickname "Angel" due to his striking features. This resounding success opened doors for the release of his first recording works through Warner Music, including the self-titled album that reached the mark of over one and a half million copies sold.

After his early years dedicated to romantic music and secular pop, the artist directed his career toward the contemporary Christian music and gospel segment. This transition led him to sign with record labels such as Line Records and Sony Music Brasil, working with renowned producers like Paulo César Baruk. Throughout his trajectory, Robinson has accumulated significant awards, such as the Troféu Talento for best pentecostal album for the record "Em Todo Tempo Louve", released in 2008.

In addition to his career as a performer, Robinson also works as a teacher at a singing school in São Paulo, passing on his experience to new talents. His main musical influences and references range from great international soul music to big names in national gospel, sharing stages and studios with artists such as Soraya Moraes, Rose Nascimento, Jamily, and Paulo César Baruk himself.
