Biography

Rodrigo Amarante is a Brazilian composer and performer who gained international recognition for the song "Tuyo." Written and performed as the opening theme for the Netflix original series Narcos in 2015, the track is a "balada grupera" that Amarante composed by imagining the musical atmosphere that might have surrounded a young Pablo Escobar through his mother's radio.

The song is part of the "Narcos: A Netflix Original Series" soundtrack. While the majority of the album's compositions are credited to fellow Brazilian musician Pedro Bromfman, "Tuyo" stands as a prominent piece in the repertoire, specifically listed as the second track of the collection.
