Biography

Roger Rocha Moreira, born in São Paulo on September 12, 1956, is a renowned Brazilian musician, famous for being the main creator, composer, guitarist, and vocalist of the traditional rock band Ultraje a Rigor. Throughout his artistic career, Roger studied at important conservatories, developed skills with instruments such as the guitar and flute, and consolidated his name in the national rock scene, also participating in high-profile television projects alongside Danilo Gentili.

In addition to his work leading Ultraje a Rigor, Roger has collaborated with various Brazilian artists and bands. In 1999, he participated in the recording of the track "Bárbara" on the self-titled album by the band Los Hermanos. His musical versatility also led him to produce the third album by the band Garotos Podres, titled Canções para Ninar, released in 1993, and to form partnerships with names like singer Maisa and the band Raimundos, with whom he shared the project O Embate do Século.

His influence on Brazilian culture extends beyond the stage and recording studios. Roger acted in the musical film Areias Escaldantes in 1985 and lent his distinctive voice as the official voice actor for the protagonist of the game Battlefield Hardline. Known for his strong personality and often controversial stances, he remains a prominent and debated figure in the history of Brazilian music and television.
