Biography

Rogério Oliveira de Oliveira, artistically known as Rogério Flausino, was born in Alfenas, Minas Gerais, on April 25, 1972. The son of Maria das Graças Oliveira de Oliveira and Wilson da Silveira Oliveira, he carries artistic veins in his blood, being the grandson of Zé Flausino, a musician awarded in the 1970s by the former Rádio Nacional do Rio de Janeiro. Before consolidating his career on stage, Flausino worked as a systems analyst and even hosted a radio show on Atenas FM alongside announcer Celino Menezes, in addition to taking his first musical steps alongside his brother Wilson Sideral in local bands like Contato Imediato.

His trajectory gained national prominence in 1993, when he moved to Nova Serrana and answered a newspaper ad looking for a vocalist for the band Jonny Quest. The group later adopted the name Jota Quest and became one of the most established and successful names in Brazilian pop rock. Over the years leading the band, Flausino stood out for his striking stage presence and vocal versatility, which earned him the Multishow Award for Best Singer in 2007.

In addition to his consolidated work with Jota Quest, Flausino expanded his artistic work into children's projects and voice acting, participating in AsteriumLand in 2021 and lending his voice to soundtracks and Disney animation characters. He is also part of a family of renowned musicians, being the brother of Wilson Sideral and Flávio Landau, as well as a second cousin of Marcus Menna, former vocalist of LS Jack. Married to Ludmila Alves Carvalho and father to Nina and Miguel, the singer continues to be one of the most charismatic figures in contemporary Brazilian music.
