Biography

Rolimã is a Brazilian alternative rock band formed in 2021 in the city of Águas de Lindóia, in the countryside of São Paulo. The group stands out in the independent scene for its sound that blends influences of Midwest emo, alternative rock, and "country emo" ("emo caipira"), with lyrics that explore nostalgia, childhood memories, small-town life, vulnerability, and internal conflicts. The band consists of Vitor Formagio (guitar and vocals), Breno Godoi (guitar and trumpet), Lucas Golo (bass), and Victor Marcondes (drums).

Rolimã's discography includes the EP "Retalho", released in 2023, featuring 100% analog recordings. In the same year, they released the single "Descuidado". In 2024, they put out the single "Micuim", accompanied by a music video filmed in Águas de Lindóia. The year 2025 was marked by the release of the double-single "meus segredos / 13 de maio", followed by singles like "dos dias nublados que me perdi pensando na vida" in early 2026. Their debut album, "pior que eu tava tão de boa que esqueci até que eu tava aqui", containing 11 tracks, was released in March 2026.

Musically, Rolimã is known for contrasting melodic and introspective fingerpicking moments with energetic outbreaks of emocore, as well as incorporating unusual elements like the trumpet into their compositions. The lyrics address themes such as anxiety, the feeling of overload, and the fast pace of modern life, as seen in the tracks "Conosquinho" and "Bão?". The debut album also explores the loss of childhood simplicity in "2010" and recalls 90s emocore in "Capim-limão".
