Biography
Rosa Neon was a Brazilian indie pop band formed in Minas Gerais in 2018. The group consisted of Marina Sena, Marcelo Tofani, Mariana Cavanellas, and Luiz Gabriel Lopes. The band stood out for its sound that blended pop with elements of brega, R&B, reggae, and electronic music, in addition to a strong visual identity in its music videos.
The project was born intuitively after a gathering of the musicians in Milho Verde, a countryside town in Minas Gerais. The connection was so strong that they decided to form the band, releasing their first single, "Fala Lá Pra Ela," in November 2018. Their self-titled debut album, "Rosa Neon," was released in 2019, featuring collaborations with artists such as Djonga and BAKA, and received critical and public acclaim.
The band ended its activities in 2021, with the members pursuing solo careers. Marina Sena, in particular, achieved great national success with her solo career. Rosa Neon left a legacy of experimentation and originality in Brazilian pop music, influencing new artists with its aesthetic and sonic approach.
