Biography

Rosana Fiengo, popularly known as Rosana or Rosanah Fienngo, was born in São Paulo on March 7, 1954. The daughter of musicians, she began her artistic journey at a very young age, singing in her father's band and joining musical ensembles in the 1960s and 1970s. Her striking voice soon caught the attention of big names in Brazilian music, such as Tim Maia, who recorded one of her compositions. National recognition came in the 1980s, boosted by hits on Rede Globo soap opera soundtracks, with absolute prominence given to the track "O Amor e o Poder", the theme song of the telenovela Mandala in 1987.

Throughout her career, Rosana explored different sounds and participated in important song festivals broadcasted by Brazilian television. She worked with renowned composers and arrangers, in addition to sharing the stage and projects with artists like Guilherme Lamounier. The singer also stood out for her instrumental versatility, playing the acoustic guitar, piano, and keyboard, and she recorded for the country's major record labels, such as CBS/Sony Music and Polygram.

In the 2000s, the artist also began dedicating herself to gospel music, marking a new spiritual and artistic phase in her journey. Even while facing personal controversies and public disputes over the years, Rosana remains one of the most emblematic interpreters of national romantic pop from the 1980s. Her discography and unmistakable voice continue to live on in the memory of the Brazilian public.
