Biography

Rouge was one of the biggest phenomena in Brazilian pop music, formed in 2002 through the talent show Popstars, broadcast by SBT and Disney Channel. The original quintet consisted of Aline Wirley, Fantine Thó, Karin Hils, Li Martins, and Lu Andrade, selected from about 30,000 candidates from all over the country. With a catchy sound and striking choreography, the group quickly won over the public with explosive hits, becoming widely known as the Brazilian version of the Spice Girls.

Their self-titled debut album, released in 2002 by Sony Music, sold over two million copies and propelled the group to the top of the charts thanks to unforgettable hits like "Não Dá pra Resistir" and the phenomenon "Ragatanga". Success continued with the record C'est La Vie (2003) and sold-out tours throughout the national territory. Even after Lu Andrade's departure in 2004 and periods of hiatus for solo projects, the group reunited at emblematic moments over the years, including 15th and 20th anniversary commemorative tours, as well as the release of new works such as the album Les 5inq.

Throughout its trajectory, Rouge sold around six million records, consolidating itself as the most successful girl group in the history of Brazil and Latin America. The artists' legacy opened doors for the girl group market in the country, influencing future generations and permanently marking national pop culture alongside artists like Liminha and Rick Bonadio.
