Mauro Mateus dos Santos, universally known as Sabotage, was a seminal figure in Brazilian hip hop, hailing from the Canão community in São Paulo. Emerging from a background of social inequality and poverty, he transformed the harsh realities of the periphery into profound lyrical narratives. His philosophy, famously encapsulated in the phrase "A good place is built with humility," guided both his life and his meteoric rise as a musical revolutionary. Throughout his career, Sabotage was celebrated for his unique flow and his ability to bridge different musical styles, earning him the nickname 'Maestro do Canão.'\n\nHis legacy is deeply intertwined with the development of national rap, influencing and collaborating with legendary figures such as Mano Brown and Rappin' Hood.
