Samara Souto is a Brazilian singer who gained national recognition after participating in the 2018 season of "The Voice Brasil." Born in Pernambuco, she began her musical journey at the age of 14 in Maceió, Alagoas, where she lived during her childhood and adolescence. Her early career involved singing in churches and performing in local bars, eventually leading her to form her first band with friends. This formative period solidified her passion for music and her desire to pursue a professional career. Souto's participation in "The Voice Brasil" marked a significant turning point, where her rendition of "No Dia do Seu Casamento" by Maiara & Maraisa impressed the coaches and the audience, showcasing her vocal talent and stage presence.

Following her success on "The Voice Brasil," Samara Souto joined the forró group Colher de Pau in 2019, becoming the first female vocalist to lead the band. During her time with Colher de Pau, she was featured on several successful songs, including "Amore Mio," "Amor bem Resolvido," and "Manda ela não vir," further establishing her presence in the Brazilian music scene, particularly within the forró genre. Her influences include prominent forró artists such as Geraldo Azevedo, Dorgival Dantas, and Solange Almeida, shaping her musical style and performance.

In March 2023, Samara Souto became the new lead singer for the renowned forró band Magníficos, performing alongside singer Frajola. This move positioned her as a prominent voice in one of Brazil's most celebrated forró groups. Despite her success in established bands, Souto has expressed a strong commitment to her roots, stating "Do forró não vou sair" (I won't leave forró). She has also embarked on a solo career, working on new material and exploring her artistic identity, aiming to continue contributing to the rich landscape of Brazilian forró music.
