Formed in the early 1990s in the periphery of São Paulo's southern zone, specifically in Taboão da Serra, Samprazer emerged from a shared passion for samba and pagode among its members. The group's current lineup, consisting of Rapha Dy Souza, Renato Marinho, Maurinhu Samprazer, and Junior Bolacha, solidified in the late 1990s and has remained consistent since.

Samprazer's musical journey has been marked by significant milestones, including the release of seven albums and five DVDs. Their work has garnered substantial attention, with over 85 million views on YouTube and approximately 40 million streams across digital platforms. The group celebrated 30 years of career in 2024, releasing the EP "Nossa História," which features re-recordings of their most popular songs, aiming to connect their legacy with new generations of pagode fans.
