Biography

Sandra Cristina Marzullo Pêra, better known as Sandra Pêra, was born in Rio de Janeiro on September 17, 1954. Daughter of actors Manuel Pêra and Dinorah Marzullo and sister of actress Marília Pêra, she began her artistic journey in the early 1970s acting in theater musicals before achieving great national projection as one of the founders and vocalists of the iconic group As Frenéticas, created at the Frenetic Dancing Days nightclub in the second half of the 1970s.

With As Frenéticas, Sandra was part of one of the most striking vocal and visual collectives in Brazilian pop culture, landing smash hits like "Perigosa" and "Dancin' Days," in addition to collaborating with important names in Brazilian music such as Rita Lee, Gilberto Gil, and Gonzaguinha, with whom she had her daughter Amora Pêra. After leaving the group in the 1980s, she pursued a diversified career as an actress, theater director, and singer, releasing solo work and acclaimed projects such as the album dedicated to Belchior's work.

Throughout her career, Sandra established herself as a versatile figure in the performing arts and music, participating in national tours, successful theatrical productions, and projects with artists like Dhu Moraes, Simone, and Ney Matogrosso. Her artistic legacy transitions between the pop irreverence of the seventies and the sophistication of MPB, maintaining strong relevance in Brazilian culture.
