Biography

Sandro Haick Thomaz is a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist, arranger, music producer, musical director, sound engineer, and composer, born on June 28, 1971. Son of drummer Netinho — a member of the group Os Incríveis and founder of Casa das Máquinas —, Sandro had an early contact with music and received his first drum kit at two years old. Throughout his career, he has established himself as a versatile instrumentalist, playing drums, guitar, bass, acoustic guitar, mandolin, piano, keyboards, and percussion, in addition to being actively involved in the instrumental scene and national phonographic production.

As a producer and arranger, he has worked on high-profile projects alongside exponents of Brazilian music such as Dominguinhos, participating in award-winning albums like "Conterrâneos" and prominent audiovisual projects. Throughout his discography and stage career, he has collaborated with several renowned artists, including Chico Buarque, Elba Ramalho, Yamandu Costa, and Arismar Espírito Santo. In addition to his work in instrumental and popular music, he has also produced soundtracks and jingles for the advertising market.

Sandro Haick has also maintained a strong pedagogical activity, teaching at important conservatories and music education institutions in Brazil. His debut solo album, "Caminhando," released in 2007, featured an extensive list of guest appearances and highlighted his importance in the country's contemporary instrumental music scene.
