Sarah Benchimol is a Brazilian composer born in Rio de Janeiro in 1950. She began her career in the 1970s, gaining recognition for her work in music festivals. Her first record was released by EMI, and since then, her compositions have been recorded by numerous artists.

Benchimol's work spans both adult and children's audiences, with her songs featured in various soundtracks. She has collaborated with prominent Brazilian artists, including Joanna, Chico Anysio, and Rosinha de Valença, among others.
