Biography

Saulo Jorge Fernandes Navarro de Oliveira, known simply as Saulo Fernandes, is a prominent Brazilian singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, and producer. Born in Barreiras, Bahia, he showed an early interest in music, performing on a trio elétrico at age ten and recording his first LP at fourteen. His career gained significant momentum when he formed the band Chica Fé in 1996, blending samba-reregue and axé music, and later taking over as the lead singer of the iconic Banda Eva in 2002.

After spending nearly eleven years leading Banda Eva, Saulo embarked on a successful solo career starting in 2013, releasing his debut live album, "Saulo ao Vivo," recorded in Salvador. He followed this with his second solo project, "Baiuno," cementing his unique style within the axé and Bahian music scenes. Throughout his career, he has collaborated closely with fellow artist Ivete Sangalo, with whom he even released a children's album titled A Casa Amarela in 2008.

Renowned for his energetic performances and eclectic repertoire, Saulo is also recognized for his philanthropic endeavors and social engagement across Brazil. His discography includes notable studio and live albums such as O Azul e o Sol, Sol Lua Sol, and Acho que é Axé. He remains a beloved figure in Brazilian popular culture, continually celebrating the rich musical traditions of Bahia.
