Biography

Formed in October 2013, Séculos Apaixonados emerged from the dissolution of the band Dorgas. Initially conceived as a creative outlet for Gabriel Guerra and Arthur Braganti to explore more song-oriented compositions, the project gradually evolved into a full-fledged band with the addition of Lucas de Paiva, Felipe Vellozo, and João Pessanha. The group quickly gained attention, partly due to the members' involvement in other notable projects, leading to their first performances in mid-2014 and the release of their debut album, "Roupa Linda, Figura Fantasmagórica," in November of the same year.

Séculos Apaixonados is known for its distinctive sound, which draws heavily from the aesthetics of the 1980s, incorporating elements of new wave, post-punk, and synth-pop. Their music often features a blend of vintage synthesizers, echoing beats, and catchy, sometimes melancholic, melodies. The band's lyrical themes can range from romanticism and personal confessions to reflections on urban chaos and financial market fluctuations, often delivered with a sense of irony and a playful approach to musical conventions.
