Biography

Selva was a Brazilian electronic music duo formed in São Paulo in 2015 by Pe Lu and Brian Cohen. Friends for over a decade, the duo officially formed after attending an electronic music party together. Their music was described as "house pop," blending pop sensibilities with electronic beats, and they were considered one of the genre's emerging acts of the 2010s.

Throughout their career, Selva released several EPs and singles, including collaborations with artists like Manu Gavassi, Alok, and Matheus & Kauan. In 2019, they signed with Universal Music. The duo disbanded in 2021, with Pe Lu subsequently launching his solo career.

Selva's sound was characterized by its fusion of pop melodies with danceable electronic rhythms, making them a notable presence in the Brazilian electronic music scene. Their work, though relatively short-lived, left a mark on the genre and paved the way for future electronic artists in Brazil.
