Sereno, Sereninho e Gauchinho was a Brazilian children's music trio formed in Franca, São Paulo, around 1978. The group consisted of three brothers: Aparecido (who would later become Gian), Arnaldo, and Marcelo (who would later become Giovani). Their father, Francisco, recognized their musical talent and encouraged them to form the trio. They performed in local bars and restaurants, gaining early experience in live music.

In the early 1980s, Arnaldo left the trio due to vocal issues. This led to a change in the group's formation and name. With Arnaldo's departure, Aparecido and Marcelo continued as a duo, eventually adopting the stage names Gian and Giovani. This transition marked the beginning of a successful career in sertanejo music for the brothers, who would go on to achieve national recognition.

Although the trio "Sereno, Sereninho e Gauchinho" was short-lived, it served as the crucial first step for Gian and Giovani. Their early performances laid the foundation for their future success in the Brazilian sertanejo music scene. The brothers' journey from a childhood trio to a renowned duo highlights their dedication and the enduring support they received from their family and community.
