Sergio Saraceni is a renowned Brazilian maestro, composer, arranger, and producer who built a distinguished career spanning from 1975 to 2014. His life in music was profoundly shaped at the age of nine when he met the legendary composer Antônio Carlos Jobim during the production of a feature film directed by his uncle, Paulo Cezar Saraceni. This encounter sparked a lifelong mentorship and friendship that guided Saraceni through rigorous musical studies in classical guitar, piano, and orchestration, eventually leading him to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in the United States.

Upon returning to Brazil, Saraceni established himself as a versatile musician, performing alongside popular artists such as Nana Caymmi, Emílio Santiago, and Beth Carvalho. He soon transitioned into film scoring, composing original soundtracks for over forty feature films and collaborating with notable directors and composers like Radamés Gnattali. His work in cinema earned him multiple awards across prominent Brazilian film festivals, cementing his status as a pioneer in audiovisual composition.

In addition to his cinematic achievements, Saraceni played a transformative role in Brazilian television music. Joining Rede Globo in the late 1970s, he helped revolutionize telenovelas and miniseries by introducing original orchestral scores to a medium that previously relied heavily on imported foreign tracks. His memorable musical direction and compositions for landmark television productions such as Roque Santeiro, Vale Tudo, and Anos Dourados left an indelible mark on Brazilian popular culture before he concluded his active career in 2014.
