Shirley Carvalhaes de Camargo is a celebrated Brazilian contemporary Christian music singer, recognized widely as the "Queen of Gospel Music" in Brazil. Born in Rio de Janeiro and raised in Mesquita, her early spiritual foundation was deeply shaped by her devout parents, leading her naturally into a lifelong musical ministry that spans over five decades. With roughly thirty-five albums to her name, she emerged as the top-selling recording artist within the Brazilian religious music segment during the 1980s and 1990s.

Her professional recording career began in 1975 when she stepped in to provide studio vocals for the album Acima das Estrelas. Over the following decades, she built an extensive discography through collaborations with notable labels such as Rocha Eterna, Nancel Produções, Continental, Franc Records, and Art Gospel. Her peak commercial success arrived in the 2000s with landmark releases like Há Uma Saída, which sold over half a million copies, and her first live DVD, Tudo Sobre Mim. Throughout her career, she has shared stages and recording sessions with prominent gospel artists such as Lauriete, Mattos Nascimento, and Anderson Freire.
