Sidney Magal is a renowned Brazilian singer, actor, dancer, and voice actor who became a massive cultural icon known for his flamboyant stage presence and Gypsy-inspired wardrobe. Initially aspiring to sing bossa nova, he was advised against it by Vinicius de Moraes due to his striking appearance and physical build. After exploring various musical styles, he was discovered by Argentine producer Roberto Livi, who shaped his persona as the ultimate "Latin Lover" of Brazilian pop and brega music.

Throughout a career spanning decades, Magal released major hits such as "Meu Sangue Ferve por Você", "Sandra Rosa Madalena", and "Me Chama que Eu Vou", the latter becoming a massive success during the lambada craze of the 1990s.
