Biography

Sílvia Negrão is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, educator, and writer whose work is dedicated to celebrating childhood through music, literature, and popular culture. Originally from Belém, in Pará, and based in Belo Horizonte, Negrão has built a career focused on children's audiences, rescuing and recreating elements of national folklore.

Her discography includes albums such as "Catibiribão Vol. 1" and "Vol. 2", "Rabiola Olá Catibiribola" (nominated for the Brazilian Music Award), and most recently the digital album "Casinha de Bambu" (2024), which also gave rise to a multimedia book and a music video. Her work with the "Catibiribão" show was selected by Itaú Cultural and broadcast by TV Rá-Tim-Bum, demonstrating the reach and relevance of her artistic production.

The artist is known for her playful and educational compositions, which include nursery rhymes, tongue twisters, and cirandas, often inspired by Brazilian folklore characters such as Saci-Pererê and Serafina the giraffe.
