Simara Pires is a Brazilian singer with an established career in popular music, especially in the forró genre. Born in São Paulo and raised in the backcountry of Pernambuco, her artistic journey began to gain national prominence starting in 1993, when she became one of the lead vocalists of the renowned band Limão com Mel.

During her tenure of more than a decade in Limão com Mel, Simara Pires immortalized hits that defined an era, such as "Voltei", "Veneno", and "Janeiro a Janeiro", establishing herself as one of the most expressive female voices in romantic forró. After leaving the band, she had a stint with Companhia do Calypso and, subsequently, launched her solo career, which led her to live and perform in Europe, especially in France.

With a career spanning over 30 years, Simara Pires continues to enchant audiences with her striking voice and unique interpretation of songs that transition between forró and other Brazilian rhythms.
