Biography

Simone Mendes Rocha Diniz was born in Uibaí, Bahia, and grew up in a humble family, moving across various interior cities during her childhood due to her father's work as a diamond prospector. She began her musical journey at the age of fourteen as a backing vocalist for singer Frank Aguiar, gaining essential experience before achieving regional prominence in the Northeast with the band Forró do Muído alongside her sister Simaria Mendes and Binha Cardoso.

In 2012, the sisters established themselves independently as the duo Simone & Simaria, affectionately known as As Coleguinhas, and quickly rose to national stardom within the sertanejo genre. Their breakout success was cemented by hit singles and major projects like the DVD Bar das Coleguinhas, which featured collaborations with artists such as Wesley Safadão and Gabriel Diniz, as well as massive radio hits like "Loka" in partnership with Anitta.

Following the end of their successful ten-year partnership in 2022, Simone embarked on a thriving solo career, releasing her acclaimed solo DVD Cintilante and scoring major chart hits like "Erro Gostoso". Throughout her musical path, she has collaborated with various notable Brazilian acts, including Bruno & Marrone, Jorge & Mateus, and Felipe Araújo, establishing a lasting legacy in contemporary Brazilian country and forró music.
