Biography

Grupo Solo Brasil was formed with the objective of showcasing Brazilian popular music internationally through its show "Uma Viagem Através da Música do Brasil" (A Journey Through Brazilian Music). The project received support from the Cultural Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Music and Performing Arts Secretariat of the Ministry of Culture. The ensemble has celebrated 25 years of trajectory both in Brazil and abroad, performing in over 19 countries and on emblematic stages. Their performances are designed to be an immersive musical experience, guiding the audience through the history of Brazilian Popular Music from its beginnings to the late 20th century.

The show combines musical excellence with live narration and visual projections that contextualize each historical period. Solo Brasil features prominent musicians and a vocalist, taking audiences on a journey through the works of masters such as Pixinguinha, Luiz Gonzaga, Tom Jobim, Vinicius de Moraes, Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso, and Gilberto Gil. The group has also performed successfully in over forty Brazilian cities, reaffirming their commitment to the diffusion and valorization of Brazilian musical culture.

Solo Brasil's repertoire spans various genres and eras of Brazilian music, including choro, samba, frevo, and bossa nova, as well as significant moments from the music of different regions of the country. The group's formation includes excellent singers and top-tier instrumentalists, contributing to their acclaimed performances worldwide.
