Biography

Solteirões do Forró was a prominent Brazilian electronic forró band established in Fortaleza in 2005 by entrepreneurs Carlos Aristides and Antônio Isaías. The group quickly rose to prominence by blending traditional Northeastern forró elements with contemporary influences, supported by large-scale productions and high-energy live performances. Throughout their career, they became a major reference in the genre, performing at massive cultural events, traditional June festivals, and rodeo shows across Brazil.

The band's vocal lineup evolved significantly over the years, featuring notable singers such as Taty Girl, Monique Pessoa, Walkyria Santos, and most famously Zé Cantor, who fronted the group until launching his solo career in 2018. Their romantic and danceable repertoire yielded numerous regional hits like "Liga o Paredão" and "Eu Não Aguento a Solidão", cementing their status as one of the most influential forró acts of the 2000s.

In 2025, former members and associated artists reunited for the audiovisual project "Solteirões 20 Anos," conceived by Zé Cantor to celebrate two decades of the band's musical legacy. The milestone recording featured guest appearances by contemporary forró stars such as Zé Vaqueiro and Raí Saia Rodada, alongside legacy acts like Limão com Mel, bridging different generations of the forró movement.
