Soraya Moraes is a prominent Brazilian contemporary Christian music singer, songwriter, pastor, and writer born in São Paulo. She began her musical journey in the early 1990s as the lead vocalist of the Protestant rock band Metanoya, with whom she recorded the album Guerra in 1992. Her career gained significant momentum when she joined the influential group Renascer Praise, performing with them from 1994 to 1999 and achieving massive national recognition within the evangelical community through her vocals on the hit song "Deus é Fiel."

Transitioning to a solo career, she released her debut album, Pensando em Deus, in 1998 through Gospel Records. Over the following decades, she established herself as a major figure in gospel music, earning multiple Latin Grammy Awards, particularly for her work on albums such as Deixa O Teu Rio Me Levar - Ao Vivo and Som da Chuva. Alongside her musical pursuits, she and her husband, Marco Moraes, have dedicated themselves to pastoral work, notably within the Igreja do Evangelho Quadrangular. Throughout her expansive career, she has collaborated with various record labels like Line Records, Sony Music, and Central Gospel Music, cementing her legacy alongside other prominent gospel acts like Renascer Praise.
