Suely Mesquita is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, lyricist, and singing teacher, born in Rio de Janeiro on August 7, 1960. Her musical career stands out for its versatility and deep connection with Brazilian popular music, exploring various genres and collaborating with a wide range of renowned artists. Her academic background in psychology from PUC-Rio, combined with studies in singing, musical perception, theory, piano, and harmony, provided a solid foundation for her artistic and pedagogical trajectory.

Throughout her career, Suely Mesquita has released acclaimed albums such as "Sexo Puro" (2002) and "Microswing" (2008), which were praised by critics for the quality of their compositions, acoustic arrangements, and her warm, impeccable voice. Her songs have been recorded by artists such as Fernanda Abreu, Pedro Luís e a Parede, Ney Matogrosso, Celso Fonseca, Kátia B., Leoni, Zeca Baleiro, and Alice Caymmi, demonstrating the breadth of her recognition in the music scene.
