Sugar Kane is a prominent Brazilian rock band formed in Curitiba in 1997. Emerging during the late 1990s independent music scene alongside groups like Reffer and Hateen, the band initially performed songs entirely in English on their debut album, Once One Day, before transitioning to Portuguese with subsequent releases like Por Nossa Paz. Over the decades, they became a cornerstone of melodic hardcore and alternative rock in Brazil, releasing acclaimed records such as Continuidade da Máquina, D.E.M.O., and Novidade Média, while collaborating with notable artists including Badauí and Jup do Bairro.

Throughout their extensive career, Sugar Kane has achieved numerous milestones, including recording the first DVD by an independent rock band in Brazil, 469 DCM, and touring extensively across South America, the United States, and Europe. Despite brief hiatuses, the group has consistently reinvented its sound, exploring punk, hardcore, and alternative rock influences while maintaining a fiercely independent spirit.
