Biography

Sulino (Francisco Gottardi) and Carreirinho (Adauto Ezequiel) were a highly influential Brazilian sertanejo duo, known for their "moda de viola" style and their significant contributions to the genre.

Sulino, born in Castilho, São Paulo, began his musical journey early, adopting the stage name Limeira and forming duos before joining Marrueiro to form the renowned duo Sulino e Marrueiro. Carreirinho, born in Bofete, São Paulo, was a gifted violeiro (viola player) and composer, who also had a notable partnership with Zé Carreiro, forming Zé Carreiro e Carreirinho.

Their collaboration as Sulino e Carreirinho resulted in recordings that showcased their distinct styles and songwriting. Carreirinho's compositions often referenced his hometowns of Bofete and Pardinho, weaving them into his heartfelt "modas de viola." Together, they produced an "artistic CD" featuring some of their most beautiful compositions, solidifying their place in the rich tapestry of Brazilian country music.
