Sylvio Luiz do Rêgo Júnior, widely known as Sylvinho Blau-Blau, emerged as a prominent figure in the Brazilian new wave music scene of the 1980s. He began his musical journey with the band Absyntho, which achieved massive success with the naive and catchy song "Meu Ursinho Blau-Blau" in 1983. This hit propelled Sylvinho and the band to national fame, leading to numerous appearances on television and radio shows. Other successful tracks like "Só a Lua" and "Lobo" further solidified their place in the music charts.

Following the dissolution of Absyntho in 1987, Sylvinho embarked on a solo career, releasing albums such as "Topete," produced by Lulu Santos. Despite initial struggles to replicate the band's success, he continued to create music and explore different avenues, including forming an advertising agency. His life took a significant turn in 1998 when he battled drug addiction, eventually finding recovery and embracing a new spiritual path.

Sylvinho Blau-Blau's career has been marked by resilience and reinvention. He made a memorable comeback at Rock in Rio III in 2001 with a symbolic "exorcism" of his iconic "Ursinho Blau-Blau" persona, aiming to shed the "childish" image. Today, he embraces his legacy, performing hits from the 80s in flashback tours across Brazil and Europe, and remains an active and beloved artist in the Brazilian music landscape.
