Biography

Symbols is a Brazilian heavy metal and power metal band founded in São Paulo in 1997. The group gained great prominence in the national underground scene thanks to the joint work of brothers Edu Falaschi and Tito Falaschi on the vocals of the first albums. With an initial lineup that also featured Rodrigo Arjonas, Demian Tiguez, Marcelo Panzardi, and Rod Mello, the band released their self-titled debut album in 1998, achieving an excellent reception from the public and media.

In 2000, the group released their second record, titled "Call to the End", featuring an even heavier and faster sound. At the end of that same year, the band performed a memorable concert at the Brasil Metal Union festival. Shortly after, vocalist Edu Falaschi left the group to join Angra, replacing renowned André Matos, which led to a series of lineup changes in Symbols.

Even with significant changes and the departure of founding members, the band remained active and released the progressive album "Faces" in 2004, featuring special guest appearances. The group ended its main activities years later, but returned to the stage in 2012 for a commemorative performance with its classic lineup. In 2021, the band's early catalog was re-released in a physical format for fans of national metal.
