Biography
Tássia Reis is a singer and songwriter from Jacareí, in the interior of São Paulo. A prominent figure in new Brazilian music, her artistic journey was deeply influenced by the black music dances her parents attended, which gave her a solid foundation in hip hop culture and black music. She began dancing in her adolescence and, starting in 2009, began dedicating herself to songwriting, officially debuting on stages a few years later.
The artist gained national prominence with the release of her self-titled EP in 2014, establishing herself as one of the leading female voices in contemporary rap. Throughout her career, Tássia has participated in significant collective projects, such as the group Salada das Frutas, alongside Liniker and the group As Bahias e a Cozinha Mineira, and the collective Rimas & Melodias, which brings together several Brazilian female rappers and singers such as Drik Barbosa and Karol de Souza.
Her discography is marked by critically acclaimed albums, such as Outra Esfera and Próspera, the latter of which was awarded by APCA as one of the best albums of 2019. In her lyrics, Tássia addresses fundamental themes such as self-knowledge, love, daily life, and the questioning of social standards. Her most recent work, Topo da Minha Cabeça, released in 2024, reaffirms her prominent position in the current Brazilian music scene.
