Biography

Terno Rei is an alternative rock and indie rock band formed in São Paulo in 2010. The group consists of members Ale Sater on vocals and bass, Bruno Paschoal on guitar, Greg Maya on guitar, and Luis Cardoso on drums. Throughout their career, they have established themselves as a prominent name in the Brazilian independent music scene, blending elements of space rock, dream pop, and accessible pop influences into their sonic identity. Their early work captured attention with introspective lyricism focusing on relationships and personal growth, eventually leading to major festival performances across Brazil and internationally.

The band's debut album, Vigília, was released in 2014 through the independent label Balaclava Records, followed by the EP Trem Leva Minhas Pernas in 2015. Their trajectory shifted significantly with the release of their third album, Violeta, in 2019, which received widespread critical acclaim and expanded their fanbase. Collaborating with artists such as the synth-pop trio Tuyo and participating in major events like Lollapalooza Brasil, Primavera Sound in Spain, and The Town, Terno Rei continued to cement their presence in contemporary Brazilian rock.

Over the years, Terno Rei has maintained a steady output of acclaimed records, including Gêmeos in 2022 and their fifth studio album, Nenhuma Estrela, released in 2025. They have also shared stages and collaborated with notable figures of Brazilian music, such as Fernanda Takai, Mahmundi, and Samuel Rosa. Their ability to evolve while maintaining themes of youth, nostalgia, and adult life has kept them at the forefront of the modern independent scene alongside peers like Jovem Dionisio.
