Biography

Formed in Teresópolis, Rio de Janeiro, in 1978, Terra Molhada is a Brazilian band that gained prominence in the 1980s, initially as a backing band for singer-songwriter Tavito, whose hit "Casa no Campo" (co-written with Zé Rodrix) was a major success.

Terra Molhada's career evolved, and they became known for their interpretations of The Beatles' music. In 1982, they were invited to accompany Lizzie Bravo, a prominent figure in the Brazilian Beatles fan club and ex-wife of composer Zé Rodrix. This association further solidified their connection to the Fab Four's legacy. In 2000, Terra Molhada recorded "Girl," a Beatles classic, for the soundtrack of the Rede Globo novela "Laços de Família Internacional." This version was later included in the "Beatles Forever" compilation, alongside international artists like Stevie Wonder and David Bowie, making Terra Molhada the only Brazilian group on the tribute album.

With over four decades of history, Terra Molhada has performed extensively across Brazil and even in Portugal. Their enduring specialization in Beatles music has earned them a dedicated following and a unique place in the Brazilian music scene, celebrating the timeless appeal of one of the world's most influential bands.
