Terra Preta, born Arithon Felipe in São Paulo, is a notable Brazilian singer known for his contributions to rap and R&B music. He adopted his artistic moniker from a childhood nickname based on soil types, transforming it into a symbol of fertility for his career. Emerging from the Grajaú neighborhood, he gained early recognition in the alternative rap scene through collaborations with prominent artists like Criolo and Rael da Rima, eventually capturing national attention by winning the television talent show Astros.
