Biography

Clériton Sávio Santos Silva, better known as Teto, was born in Jacobina, Bahia, and established himself as one of the main names in the new generation of national rap and trap. Influenced since childhood by genres heard in his home, such as pagode, axé, and MPB, he began composing at age twelve and recorded much of his initial material independently in his own bedroom.

The artist's national recognition began to grow in 2020 through the unofficial leaking of his musical previews on YouTube and live broadcasts held on his social media. This digital phenomenon caught the attention of rapper Matuê, which resulted in Teto joining the 30PRAUM record label in 2021 and the release of expressive hits such as the single "M4" and the EP Prévias.zip.

Throughout his career, the singer expanded his sound by exploring subgenres such as alternative hip-hop and afrobeats, culminating in the release of his debut studio album, titled Maior que o Tempo. With an aesthetic marked by the use of melismas and lyrics about overcoming, dreams, and achievements, Teto solidified his prominent name in the Brazilian urban scene alongside artists such as Luísa Sonza and MC Hariel.
