After a period away from his religious roots, he returned to the Protestant faith and solidified his solo career starting in the late 2000s, achieving national prominence with the album Na Sala do Pai, released in 2009.

Throughout his career, Thalles has released landmark works that established him in the gospel scene, including the acclaimed live album Uma História Escrita pelo Dedo de Deus, which featured prominent names such as Gabriela Rocha and André Valadão. The artist has also been part of formations like the trio Muitomais and the group Renascer Praise, in addition to accumulating important awards, such as the Troféu Promessas and the Latin Grammy.
