Thalma de Freitas is a celebrated Brazilian singer, songwriter, and actress who has made significant contributions to both the nation's music and television industries. Born in Rio de Janeiro, she grew up immersed in the arts, being the daughter of the renowned pianist and maestro Laércio de Freitas. Her professional artistic journey began in the early 1990s when she participated in musical theater productions in São Paulo under the guidance of directors like Oswaldo Montenegro and Jorge Fernando. Over the years, she successfully balanced her acting career—starring in prominent soap operas and feature films, earning a best supporting actress award at the Gramado Film Festival—with a dynamic trajectory in contemporary Brazilian music.
