Biography

The Biggs is a Brazilian rock band formed in Sorocaba, São Paulo, in 1995. With a trajectory of over 25 years in the independent scene, the trio is known for their sound that moves between punk rock and grunge, with strong influences from the riot grrrl movement and themes of feminist empowerment.

The band's current lineup features Flávia Biggs on vocals and guitar, Mayra Biggs on bass and vocals, and Brown Biggs on drums. Throughout their career, The Biggs has released two studio albums: "Wishful Thinking" (2001) and "The Roll Call" (2007), in addition to demos, EPs, and singles. The band has also participated in various compilation albums and toured Brazil and Argentina, consolidating their presence in the national underground.

With an energetic sound and lyrics that address social and personal issues, The Biggs has become a reference in Brazilian independent rock. The band has been cited in Antonio Bivar's book "O que é punk?" and has appeared on TV shows such as "Lado B Especial" and "Musikaos". In 2021, they celebrated their 25th anniversary with plans to release a book of photos and texts about their history, as well as a mini-documentary and a vinyl record.
