Biography

The Ordher is a Brazilian death metal band formed in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, in April 2005. The band emerged from the ashes of two notable Brazilian underground metal acts, Rebaelliun and Nephast. The founding members, Fabio Lentino (vocals/bass), Mauricio Weimar (drums/percussion), and Fabiano Penna (guitars), initially conceived The Ordher as a project that quickly evolved into their primary musical focus. Their previous bands had achieved considerable success in the underground metal scene, undertaking European and Brazilian tours and releasing well-received albums.

The Ordher's debut demo, "Promo '06," featuring three tracks, garnered positive attention online, leading to a two-album deal with the American label Unique Leader Records. Their first full-length album, "Weaponize," was released in October 2007 and received a favorable response from music publications and webzines worldwide, particularly in Brazil. The album's release propelled the band onto the touring circuit. In early 2008, Mauricio Weimar departed due to personal reasons, and Cassio Canto took over on drums. The band subsequently embarked on a Brazilian tour supporting the legendary American band Possessed and performed at the major Brazilian metal festival, Forcaos.

In March 2009, The Ordher recorded a cover of Motörhead's "Them Not Me," marking their first recording with the new lineup. Following this, they began working on their second album, "Kill the Betrayers," which was released in September 2009. The band's sound is characterized by its aggressive death metal style, often compared to bands like Krisiun, Morbid Angel, and Immolation. Despite releasing two albums, the band appears to have disbanded, with members pursuing other projects.
